Trump shared his Bronx stage with a pair of rappers indicted for murder conspiracy A pair of rappers former President Donald Trump allowed up on stage to help him rally voters in South Bronx this week are alleged gang members charged with conspiracy to commit murder, according to CNN. The rally, which was billed as an outreach event for Black and Hispanic voters, came as Trump is still stuck in New York for his criminal hush money trial, which is expected to enter jury deliberations next week. "During his campaign speech, Trump introduced rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow, whose legal names are Michael Williams and Tegan Chambers, and invited them up on stage with him to say a few words," reported Kate Sullivan. "Williams faces charges over an alleged conspiracy to commit murder and Chambers has been charged as a co-conspirator in a sprawling 140-count indictment, according to a news release by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office and court documents ... Williams and Tegan are two of 32 alleged gang members who were named in the indictment, which includes charges of murder, shootings and assaults."

"Time to go. If you're not a delegate, time to walk out. There's the door," said an official at the event. Veterans for Reasonable Leadership confirmed in a post to X that the pledge was not signed. "We went to the @NCGOP’s convention with a demand that they pledge to honor the election and support a peaceful transfer of power," they wrote. "They didn’t want to hear from us. They haven’t signed that pledge. Until they do, their leadership and their nominees are unfit to lead."

Bill Pruitt is an Emmy-nominated producer of the once-wildly popular competitive reality TV show, and his NDA of 20 years just expired. So he went long for Slate to detail what he saw of Trump from his position behind the scenes. Pruitt details one discussion about who should win the season as it came down to the two final contestants. One was Bill Rancic — who eventually won and earned a job at the Trump Organization. The other was Kwame Jackson, a Black man. During that discussion, Pruit claims Trump said, “but, I mean, would America buy a n— winning?” Pruitt writes: We lay out the virtues and deficiencies of each finalist to Trump in a fair and balanced way, but sensing the moment at hand, Kepcher sort of comes out of herself. She expresses how she observed Jackson at the casino overcoming more obstacles than Rancic, particularly with the way he managed the troublesome Omarosa. Jackson, Kepcher maintains, handled the calamity with grace. “I think Kwame would be a great addition to the organization,” Kepcher says to Trump, who winces while his head bobs around in reaction to what he is hearing and clearly resisting. “Why didn’t he just fire her?” Trump asks, referring to Omarosa. It’s a reasonable question.
