Gallup doesn’t have a very good record with anything Trump and polling. Horrible in fact. I doubt that their methodology has changed since November of 2016.

The next thing you’re likely to skew is that since HRC won the popular vote Gallup got the General Election right all along. Tell that to Nate Silver and the gazillion other pollsters. It’s just data.

The data was right about more people voting for Hillary and its right about Trump approval ratings.

Why do we always have to correct Tony about the polls. Its like we have to keep these links on speed dial.

I checked ET for the history of the polling.

Most of the polls had hillary up by very large amounts until they herded about 10 days before. We were seeing mostly ridiculous polls giving Hillary enormous leads. Some like ABC were give here double digit leads.

But on the eve of the election...

Rasmuessen was only bettered by one outfit. Rasmussen had Hillary plus 2 but the jem algo outfit called Hillary by one or two points but cited the work of Nate Silver saying that if the election were that close Trump could win because Hillary had excess votes in CA and New York.

Every pollster was wrong about the election results - especially Gallup. Reconcile that. Faulty sampling methodologies, biased interpolation. And nothing has changed since for Gallup. They’re treating it as an aberration; a Black Swan event (which they can’t to this day explain adequately)
