Perhaps, but it might be wise to wait for the outcomes of the current New York Grand Juries, before concluding this. Trump is probably right now in the greatest peril with regard to potential criminal prosecution he has ever been in. Up to now his violations have been civil, and he could buy his way out. He won't be able to buy his way out of jail quite so easily if he is convicted of felonies. But will any Jury convict? I agree. It is unlikely Biden will seek re-election in 2024. Meanwhile, if the Democrats can force through their infrastructure bill using reconciliation, the economy is going to launch itself like a moon rocket into the stratosphere. Regardless, come 2024 this won't matter if the lunatic, white nationalist wing of the Republican party succeeds in getting a stranglehold on the election process. We haven't seen such a diabolical move to hamstring the democratic elements of our struggling Republic since reconstruction in the Deep South after the Civil War. White Democrats lynched and intimidated their way back into the State Legislatures, and Federal authorities did virtually nothing to stop the carnage. They then proceeded to, in effect, disenfranchise Southern black Republicans for a Century. This time around is eerily similar, except the Parties in the South are reversed* from mid-Twentieth Century, pre-civil-rights days, and blacks are educated and will fight back. ___________________ *In the American South, after the Civil War Whites called themselves Democrats but increasingly voted with Republicans when they got to Washington; whereas blacks called themselves Republicans even though poll taxes, intimidation and other hurdles kept them from voting. And it wasn’t, as the Boy Wonder complained to Hannity last night, because “they look for any single comma that’s out of place.” As the memorandum lays out, the investigation centers (or did at the time) on possible fraudulent asset valuation, particularly as relates to Trump’s Seven Springs property in Westchester County, New York, which he valued somewhere between $20 million and $291 million, depending on whether he was negotiating with the tax collector or claiming to be wealthy enough to buy the Buffalo Bills. In 2015, the family claimed a $21.5 million conservation easement after donating a parcel of the property that they’d tried and failed to develop, retaining the valuable bit with the giant mansion on it for themselves. There’s also the minor matter of whether the Trump Organization appropriately picked up $102 million of imputed income after Fortress Credit Corporation accepted $48 million in satisfaction of a $150 million note on the Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago. Which is quite a few commas. And while reporters had been hot on the trail of those stories for years, they were still delighted to get a peek at the NYAG’s investigation thanks to Eric Trump’s failed gambit to avoid going under oath. “They attack us, they go after us for for doing absolutely nothing wrong,” he wailed, before decrying the unfairness of his father being forced leave money on the table as president. “We gave up business when my father went to the White House.
