  2. If Bugenhagen were my friend, he would have the mercy of sending me a ceremonial Seppuku sword so I can end my political suffering and maybe salvage some honor.

Instead, I ask you as a friend to accept this limited power of attorney from me for the purpose of deleting my ET account permanently if I ever post in ET’s politics section after midnight, tonight Eastern Time.

    Do you accept? Please?

  4. Julian Assange says he was promised a Trump pardon if he would lie about Russia’s DNC hacking

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange told a British court on Tuesday that he had been promised a pardon by people close to President Donald Trump.

Assange made the remarks while appearing at a pretrial hearing via teleconference.

Courtroom reporter James Doleman broke the news on Twitter. According to Doleman, Assange said that the pardon was conditional on him publicly announcing that Russia had nothing to do with the attack on the 2016 election.

Is your insistence on leaving the swamp here for personal reasons? Do you feel posting in the P&R forums is like some unwanted addiction? Just curious as to why you want to leave, your posts, unlike others, are thoughtful and an addition here.

I agree with the above. But I told you that the last time you said you were leaving.
The ET Politics Forum... hell, that's what makes this place so fun.
Where else can you find a Tony or an H4M to argue with 24/7 whenever you log on? A Freddie for his sharp whit which almost rivals the great VZ's? And a TFT to give the straight lowdown on what's going on politically?

And of course lets not forget our Constitutional Scholar on all things Constitutional.... B1.

I would not characterize ET’s politics forum as the swamp as I respect almost all the participants here.

Do you feel posting in the P&R forums is like some unwanted addiction?
Yes, there are definitely addictive aspects to social media posting that does take away from more substantive activities. I don’t want to become like my girlfriend who basically lives her life in the online world of social media.

Just curious as to why you want to leave, your posts, unlike others, are thoughtful and an addition here.
Although I was planning to take a scheduled extended break as priorities mount, the trigger for me to take immediate action was Trump pardoning Rod Blagojevich, reminding me that all politicians, including Trump, belong to The Swamp and although some of these politicians may initially have good intentions, they will eventually be consumed by it.

There are other games I can play where I’m not a pawn in someone else’s.

I did have the thought of covering micro-social aspects of poverty by exploring various case studies and attempting to derive underlying principles for sound policy. These efforts may provide relevant ideas that may prove useful, perhaps more so in a Buttigieg Presidency.

In addition, very few seem to understand the extent of negative impact that ill-thought out Government policies can have. Therefore, I wanted to explore specific Government policies that failed to deliver on it’s intent because career politicians just don’t have the background or properly utilize resources in order to anticipate how citizens, businesses, or foreign powers might react. Again, by using case studies, I hope to distill underlying principles that may have value in a sound methodology for analyzing impacts in advance of policy changes. There may be trading benefits with creating this methodology as well.

Speaking of trading, I did have an idea of starting another trading journal. So much to do and so little time. In any event, I will take a break from posting and try to help my girlfriend with her online addiction. Besides, since I’ll
no longer be actively blogging in support of Trump, it may be easier to get her to compromise!

Thank you for the kind words and I’ll be back a while after I suicide MaximumPossibleSuffering and create a new alias. I will post my new alias here.
