Funding for the HBCU’s was in jeopardy a few months ago until the White House and Congress collaborated on a “historic agreement,” the president said. “For the first time ever, I signed legislation to permanently fund HBCUs and other institutions that primarily serve first-generation and minority students,” Trump said. “This action guarantees more than $2.5 billion over the next 10 years, including $850 million specifically for HBCUs.” The president promised that he will continue to fight for HBCUs and for Minority Serving Institutions. “These wonderful institutions are essential to Keep America Great,” Trump said.
Congress and federal agencies like the Department of Education are largely responsible for policies that fund these institutions. Neither Obama nor Trump should be taking credit for what a bipartisan Congress has been doing since Jimmy Carter first started giving funding to HBCUs. Also, that picture is from 2017.
We continue to see The President's approval numbers above 50 percent with lefty biased polls continuing their upward momentum as well. Looks great for The President's reelection in 2020 as batleground state polls are through the roof for Mr. Trump. Reminder----Idiot Dems need double digit leads now in national polls in order to win national office.
One further item----It's clear now that The Chinese have also been polled in the form of an agrreement to a deal on trade. They now believe that Trump will be easily reelected and survive faux impeachment.
