Reader--there were more Democrat votes in the 2018 midterms because there were more Democrat incumbents up for reelection (a lot more). Republicans were largely not available to turn out in the Senate races.

Forty-five percent (45%) would vote for the Democrat Dems got around 90% of the black vote in the mid terms with super high black voter turn out but Rasmussen said Trump had a 36 approval rating with black voters.

Rasmussen got the final vote right but they polled daily and for the final 4 months of the campaign Rasmussen more than any other poll had Trump winning the popular vote and than in the end they got in line with most other polls. The final aggregate was Hillary +3 just 1 point off Rasmussen had Romeny+1,Obama won by +4. Rasmussen had GOP+ 1 in 2018,Dems won by + 10
538 aggregate had 42.4 yesterday,42.7 today. Take out the ridiculous Rasmussen 50 poll,which no other poll has Trump at,and they both would be lower.
