This is what I don't get about the guy. Everyone knows about all those statements, no one even cares that he knows about WikiLeaks, but yet he still lies. There are only two explanations for this, either he is lying for no reason other than to lie or he is so senile he actually doesn't remember those statements, neither of which are good.
Trump was a candidate- bloviating as they all do. In the second instance, he is now the President and the defendant/assange will have a line of attorneys a mile long alleging presidential influence on the case if he says anything. See if you can spot the difference.

Congrats, the media finally shows Trump lying. If Trump again lies in the next two or six years, the media should call him out on it again. The Democrats have another chance in 2020 to put up a Presidential candidate that moderates as well as swing voters could live with. Unfortunately, there seems to be big money and influence supporting a far Left/Socialist agenda, so we will be likely facing unsavory choices on the Democratic side. So far, hopes for finding a less unsavory choice for President is not looking good. Joe Biden is too much of an establishment politician to have confidence he will address basic issues effectively and a lot of other Democratic challengers have already shown their “flexability” in undertaking Socialist issues. The self identifying Native American, Elizabeth Warren, might be a contender, especially since the bar for “character” for US politicians is not set high, apparently. Kamala Harris seems more personable than Elizabeth Warren, but not as knowledgeable or focused on the important issues to me. Although Warren suffers a credibility and character gap for her “Racial confusion”, I trust her more politically than Kamala. Overall, I consider Warren to be a more qualified Presidential candidate than Harris. Gun to my head, as of now, I would like to see a matchup between Elizabeth Warren and Donald Trump even though I am still partial to Trump. For now.
