Obamacare merely forced up the premiums, co-pays and rates for everyone using private insurance companies. A public plan is a totally different creature in terms of rationing impact.
Correct---in addition, the Obamacare system was designed at the outset to fail and then have the govt come in and save the day with single-payer. Very sinister indeed ---these Dems---
And the middle class is paying for millions to have healthcare coverage for free/reduced cost. Many of these were getting healthcare assistance at hospitals and clinics before. The same total amount of people are being treated in the private system but now the working middle class taxpayer is paying for all of it,
There is no months long wait time with miilions of people getting government assisted healthcare from Obamacare. There is no months long wait time for medicare patients.
Because Obamacare is still using private insurance companies and healthcare facilities. If the U.S. switches to a public system then there will be rationing and waits.... just like every single other country with a public healthcare system without exception.
The annual cost for the Affordable Care Act in Washington State is from $10,000 to over $15,000 per year for a family. For a single person, rates are about 60% of that. The rates did not appear to be affected by age when I entered different ages into the calculator. Healthcare costs are much higher for older people. 90% or so of lifetime healthcare expenses are for the last year of life. In other words, the younger, working class are effectively subsidizing Babyboomer healthcare and end of life costs. Even covered workers pay for their healthcare either through lower wages or income taxes than are higher than would have been otherwise the case if healthcare insurance was not required. Whether it is college tuition or books, healthcare, or real estate, having a third party payor and or financer increases demand beyond what it would otherwise be and thus increases cost. Those people who fall between those who are subsidized, including real estate through community homebuyer programs, and the wealthy end up either getting financially locked out of a particular market, end up either taking on debt, or paying almost all of their discretionary income on Healthcare or college or real estate. If you have a lower to middle class income, which is the vast majority of people by the way, you are taking on debt, big debt, if you want both a college education and health insurance. If you want a house in or near the city as well, , you had better be an attorney or doctor. Then again, if you are an established attorney or doctor, you are likely upper middle class. Those young working lower to middle income earners who think Obama was a good President and think Obamacare is a good Government program are stupid, plain and simple. There is nothing for free. Having a third party pay for something increases the cost, reduces accountability, and even can reduce quality such as increased wait times for receiving healthcare. Hows does a non-functioning US Government Obamacare billion dollar website grab ya? Where was the investigation on that one? What’s that I hear? A billion is too small of an amount to bother? At the end of the day, funny or stupid memes aside, the working lower to middle class, including most small business owners are getting the short end of the stick. It is time to wake up and make Democratic Party politicians pay a heavy political price at the voting booths for their attempts to financially enslave the working class and snuff out the American dream. Attached below is an Seattle Times article on healthcare insurance premiums and a link for pricing Obama Health insurance in Washington State. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattl...ge-premiums-could-increase-nearly-14-percent/ https://www.wahbexchange.org/new-customers/financial-help/individuals-families-cost-calculator/
Yes... but the expansion of it to cover our entire population will require a structure more like the VA or the NHS in the U.K.
That's your opinion. The market will adjust to meet demand is another. The democrats are proposing medicare for all,not VA or NHS for all.
