Intolerance — or an unwillingness to accept the beliefs or behavior of someone different from you — is not a quality you want to have. Intolerance is what leads to hate crimes and discrimination.

The word intolerance comes from a combination of the Latin in- meaning “not” and tolerantem meaning "to bear, endure.” Intolerance is not being able to bear or endure beliefs that are different from your own. You may commonly hear of it used with respect to religious intolerance, which is an unwillingness to accept different religious beliefs.

You'll notice that there is nothing to confirm fred's completely made up out of thin air, self-serving definition.

  2. Enlighten me on the leftist definition of intolerance because what I see is anyone who has a difference of opinion as being shouted down on nearly every campus coast to coast. Ask a question, intolerant. State a fact, intolerant and probably racist. Identify obvious hypocrisy, intolerant and sexist/racist. The left has a negative label for everyone and yet claims to embrace diversity.
Back on topic of this thread. When was the last time you heard a media outlet breakdown the education level of Black and Hispanic voters? Caucasians are sliced and diced down to a gnats ass. Why? Could it be do divide and weaken the voting block as a whole? Perish the thought. The absolute indisputable fact is that without the so called minority vote there is no democratic party, so I can see why the leftist media doesn't choose to insult them with regard to their level of education. Stupid blacks for Clinton just doesn't play as well as stupid whites for Trump does, especially when the tiniest of dents in that black/hispanic voting block will utterly destroy the democratic party. Split that 50/50 and it's over for dems.

  3. Cue Fred's typical "buzzword" reply...a dash of "ignorance", a smattering of "sexist" and most importantly a healthy heaping of "racist".

  4. Does the Right Wing media break down the minority vote by other demographics?

In any event, I refer you to my closing comment to you in a prior post:

You keep referring to certain groups, without which the Democrats could not win. Do you really want me to start naming a few of the "select" groups without which the Republicans don't have a chance of winning? You really want to see how that sausage is made?

  5. By accurately redirecting one of your own comments right back at you? Then how affected does that make you? Step away from the keyboard before you hurt yourself.

  6. Because you are the king of "evade". Like I said several months ago, your spirit animal is the snake.

  7. And which spirit animal lack comprehension? I was thinking maybe a lemming, but you're not quite as independently minded. A turkey, perhaps?

  8. Oh I know how the republican sausage is made. The media points it out incessantly. I just would like the media to admit how the democratic sausage is made in the same detail, with the same insulting fashion. BTW, I have pointed put repeatedly over the years the difference between education and actual intellect, and that gulf gets wider as time goes on, so I can't imagine why that metric is still used by the pundits. We're rapidly approaching a point where a college degree is actually a symbol of the mindless stupidity one can receive through indoctrination.

  9. It's not insulting. It is simply relevant demographic categorization. Does the Right Wing media break down minorities into more detail than does the so-called MSM? I'm guessing it does not, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

The thing is, most minority groups, be they African Americans, Latinos, or whatever, overwhelmingly vote Democrat, largely irrespective of other demographic demarcations within their minority subgroup. So what practical value is there in breaking it down further? On the other hand, there is more heterogeneity within the Caucasian voting group and so further categorization makes analytical sense.
