Trump supporters are angry with the government. They are angry with overreach from Washington. It is not the least bit surprising that Trump supporters do not support Executive Orders under any circumstances - even freeing the slaves. Trying to construe that this somehow makes Trump supporters racists is an absurd assertion -- that is not the focus of the questions in the survey.
The only reason people support Trump now rather than 4 years ago: Mexicans are a bunch of rapists and let's ban muslims from entering the country. Now if a Trump supporter wants to argue for smaller govt, well then, what group hates the govt or wants to make it smaller: The Tea Party... and oh no they weren't racists at all, lmao. The things that were said about Obama pale in comparison to what the daily news publishes on a daily basis about Trump.
It's racist to seal your borders specifically for Muslims. Trump regularly recommends racist policy. Everyone outside of the US can see this. We are just wondering when mainstream Americans will wake up and see this. However, the US has shown many times the ability to elect inappropriate people for President, so Trump getting elected would be no surprise. Most of us can cope if you seal your borders to everyone, just as long as it's both directions and for a legit reason. For example, seal the border with Canada we can live with that as long as Americans on work visas like "gwb_trading" are kicked out of the country. I don't care what religious background is involved, we are strictly talking citizenship. However, common sense is that the tourism dollars involved and number of families with Canadian and US aspects ( including my own ) will be problematic for both countries. And a lot of companies operate in both countries, so the logistics of such a policy seem horrendous. In reality, Americans kill themselves in far more numbers then terrorists do ( by a massive margin ). If the world applies the same standards to Americans as Trump advocates for the rest of the world, ordinary Americans would be constrained from travelling to many countries. Is this what you really want ?
