  4. INTEGRITY! Does it exist at all with any of our politicians? Both left and right are equally corrupt! The reason most of our politicians get into office is for more power/status and wealth. I've always believed a formula for a more "honest" leader would be someone who doesn't need more power and wealth from their leadership position. Human nature takes over and most politicians get sucked in to the greed and attention. The formula should start with someone who has had all the power, wealth and status previous to their elected public office. Kind of sounds a lot like our FOUNDING FATHERS...they did a good job. If I were a billionaire and had everything I ever wanted...why not leave my country a better place before I leave it. Donald does have a big ego...that's why he wants to prove to everyone he can fix the U.S.A.. He doesn't need all the special interest crap because his ego is already satisfied with that kind of influence from his past business dealings. He doesn't need anyone or anything... that's incredible independence... I can trust that. He doesn't need to fool us for his own personal benefit...he has everything already! These career politicians need politics...it's all they have. They can do interviews and speeches and occasionally sit on a company board after politics, but they know their not on top anymore. Donald will always be on top whatever the scenario. HE DOESN'T NEED TO BE PRESIDENT TO FEEL SPECIAL! I like that a lot...it holds potential for integrity and objectivity. If Donald fools us all, I would be surprised. Do the liberals not trust him? Are they offended by his anti politically correctness? It's about time someone with influence challenges this. Too many Americans are wimpy these days! Donald will make our country tougher and stronger. We need to take a chance on a different formula this time...can't be any worse results. Liberals...what are you afraid of?

Trump takes his oath to not run 3rd party after meeting with the RNC. Now, he can land a knockout blow by stating he will force the republican leadership to honor their oaths to the people who elected their lying, conniving, surrender monkey corrupt asses. It's not just the libs who fear Trump. The establishment right fears him more...and perhaps they should. Sounds like RP of the RNC is beginning to see the light.

I kinda feel like Trump compromised himself a bit.
I thought he had a pretty good lever over the establishment with a 3rd party threat.
RNC could as easily put pressure on the states to include Trump on primary ballots, instead of putting pressure on Trump.

Still, Trump/Carson can win the big one.

Perhaps, but later in the process he can accuse others of not keeping promises, and use his oath as leverage in that sense to claim he keeps his promises.

    or

He can tear it up later and accuse the establishment of lying to him about whatever regarding his reason for taking the oath. He claims there was no deal. ;) Maybe the deal was just being treated fairly, including RW media. That leaves tons of wiggle room...hint to Megan and her ilk (I actually don't believe she was operating under orders from on high {establishment and their supporters}...but more likely trying to curry their favor by proving she could take him out....just my $.02).

    Hmmm...
Brother Wjk, you already know that I agree with 99% of your points you post here on ET, but I don't know about this.
As I stated, in my view, I don't feel real good about what he did today.
Maybe, he should have waited a bit longer.
Of course, you and I can only speculate, as we are not privy to all the "behind the scenes" stuff.
