Donald Trump says he's going to make Apple build computers in the US

  1. Listen iPhone is the most expensive mobile phone today, and if prices will go higher it will give the competitive advantage to Samsung, in long-term Samsung's profit will grow and Apple's fall, and if Apple's profit is going lower = Apple pays less taxes.

  2. Peak iPhone? Analysts Say Sales Set To Drop

It could be a pivotal moment in the nine-year history of one of the world's most popular consumer products.

Analysts say Apple's iPhone may have peaked, predicting that the device will suffer its first ever year-on-year sales decline when quarterly earnings come out next week.

Reports from major Apple analysts - including UBS, Pacific Crest and Piper Jaffray - predict an upcoming slump in the number of iPhones sold.

Apple has never reported a decline in iPhone sales, so it could be a pivotal moment in the nine-year history of one of the world's most popular consumer products.

Analysts say there is evidence of poor demand for the current iPhone 6s model, and believe that even the release of the iPhone 7 in the autumn may not be enough to avoid a continued stock dip.

Search traffic for the iPhone declined by about 20% in the US from September to December.

The company's shares are down 27.3% on their all-time high back in May 2015.

Fuck Apple. The world does not begin and end with the price of Apple stock.

Many on this thread are carpet-baggers who care only for $$$$.

  7. Pat Buchanan once pointed out that economic efficiency is not a religious mandate. It is something to keep in mind, but it doesn't trump other values.

As we are seeing, so-called free trade is a one way street. I'm not against trade, but why wouldn't we want to use our power to assist our own workers? Negotiate bilateral deals based on strict reciprocity. Instead, we have corrupt international bureaucrats making decisions that throw americans out of work. How is that in our interests?

Not if Samsung is held to the same laws and regulations Apple is here in the US.

I guess your argument against the minimum wage is out the window now, at least in principle (since relatively few min wagers are producing exports).
