That poster was for the shiteater (scatophagous), not you.

I think Trump's a fascist in waiting. He didn't "suggest" (nice spin) Apple onshore its production, he said he will impose a 30% tax on them if they don't.

    Yes, he's full of it.

I think people in the states would be OK with paying higher prices (as would the Fed) if it meant jobs came back.

Jem likes this, so jem is acknowledging that higher prices are ok if income is rising.

O inflation, where is thy sting?

My reference for jem was to the discussion in the movie tickets in 1965 thread.

Ah, I'm not following the movie tickets thread. But thanks for the supporting chart showing incomes are pretty much back to 1996 levels. The gray area even looks like a "rock".

  7. You just don't understand, what about export? Apple is going to lose the rest of the world.

Ah, the rest of the world is going to buy iPhones from someone else, are they?

  9. People need to grasp the fact that Trump paints with a broad brush. He articulates a concept, that we need more American manufacturing, and he illustrates it with an extreme example to get attention. It's an opening bid, not where he expects things to end up.

Every other country in the world runs a merchantilist trade policy. We are the target for all of them. All these european and chinese geniuses somehow don't understand what we are constantly told, that we are better off with free trade, ie one way trade. Either that or maybe what we are being told is not the complete story.
