Donald Trump picks crypto-friendly as his VP

Discussion in 'Crypto Assets' started by schizo, Jul 15, 2024.

  1. Donny may have lost the election with this pick.
    Call it pandering, patronizing, whatever,
but I think he needed to pick a non white female.
To me, it perpetuates the perception of the Republican Party
with the rich white guy stereotype.

He won the Election on Saturday,
He lost the Election on Monday.

    RedDuke,

You cannot go from trading crypto assets (last year) with backtesting and incredible returns (may have used the word alpha on your post)...

to now claiming crypto's main use case is illegal activities or does not solve a single thing and only created problems

Those 2 versions of you are in-conflict...

and now you have disclosed it was part of your group trading strategy, which meant all kinds of brain storming and exchanges of ideas among informed participants

Best wishes to you and your group trading success, but as Mr. Fink has said he was skeptical 5 years ago and once he studied it, he was a big believer

In my opinion you and your group are similar of the latter, hence cannot be like orbit

    Cheers

PS: Germany sold all the bitcoins, could have gotten better prices had it been sold properly via market makers and otc institutional desks, but for reasons known only to them, they chose to dump like amateurs

No conflict at all. Dimon does not like or believe in Bitcoin but Chase making money of it. Crypto best usage now is illegal activities, its price is fake but why shouldn’t we trade it???

Germany selling of BTC clearly showed when real money are being asked for BTC interest evaporates.

Dimon has other motivations, he does not even acknowledge making money trading crypto, he's very much against it (publicly) look at his testimony in Congress, complete ban if it was up to him

You can trade cryptos to make money, but putting arguments from 10 years ago is disingenuous

...Dimon notwithstanding, since I do not believe you are of the same power-player billionaire of other motives specifically protecting the interests of the biggest bank in the US from a disruptive technology

Germany sold the bitcoins they stole from a German movie sharing website, not sure why you think it means anything, they are out of bitcoins and cannot dump anymore

    I wish I was :D

the argument is still valid. Not a single audit since its inception for BitFinex. Tether is world largest financial fraud and whole crypto market is based on it.

    Tether again :D

Fiat debasement. You lost over 50% of your purchasing power in the last 5 years

Not again, still. Until they prove that they have reserves. Should be really easy to produce an audit.

  10. Why do people keep talking about Tether lol??? It's just some form of digital US currency that they are trying to mimic inflation with by generating an endless supply of it.. It's the crypto equivalent of a cave man picking up a screwdriver and using it as a hammer. Bitcoin is not tethered to tether in any way lol.
