Donald Trump On Being A Birther: "Somebody Has To Embrace It"

Discussion in 'Politics' started by jficquette, Mar 31, 2011.

  1. Look deeper.

Birthers have literally founded a new religion to cope with the changes in the world around them. Obama is not real, he cannot be, for a host of reasons. He has to be made up. Else, all assumptions they used to build their world view would be destroyed. The equivalent of Vulcans knocking on your door.

If they got into a time machine and went back to watch Obama come out, they would say he is a clone. The America they know is changing and change is always hard. Spend a few hours and listen to Glenn Beck. When I was younger and did not know the inherent harm Schadenfreude does to the bearer, I would be laughing at these poor misguided people.

Some are actually getting ready for another civil war.

We should meditate on them finding a way to find peace.

  2. Your man Odumbo fought like Hell to avoid disclosure BEFORE he was elected. Why would he do that? Something he didn't want the voters to know?

  4. I am not an Obama supporter and numerous politicians don't release personal records.I don't care the reason why.A politician can choose not release personal records and voters can choose not to vote for that person because of it

  5. A primary issue... "is the candidate even eligible for the position"... is not a concern of yours?

You claim to not be an Odumbo supporter, but you also appear to be down with "wrong".

You have to prove your date of birth to get a driver's license.. and also prove citizenship to get a passport. Why shouldn't a candidate of the world's most powerful office be required to prove eligibility for that office? Why should requests/demands for such proof by the electorate be denied or rebuffed? Why should that denial be allowed and accepted as "not important"?

What kind of fucking APOLOGIST IDIOT are you?

Perhaps the states will wise up and require proof of eligibility before being allowed on their state's ballot.

  6. Being anti birther doesn't make a person pro Obama.Birthers have no idea how much they are helping Obama by making the right look like a bunch of loons

Obama's citizenship, religion defended by Palin, Rove

    By David Jackson, USA TODAY

President Obama, whose citizenship and religion have been questioned, is picking up some interesting defenders on those issues.

    Sarah Palin and Karl Rove.

"Those are distractions," Palin said yesterday in New York. "What we're concerned about is the economy. And we're concerned about the policies coming out of (Obama's) administration."

The questions about Obama's birth certificate and the claims that he is secretly a Muslim are "annoying," Palin added, in another sign that Republicans in general are becoming increasingly uneasy about the more extreme claims regarding the president.

"Let's just stick with what really matters," Palin said

Palin's comments came after former George W. Bush political adviser Karl Rove urged Republicans to distance themselves from conspiracy theorists, whether they involve Obama or others.

''Within our party, we've got to be very careful about allowing these people who are the birthers and the 9/11-deniers to get too high a profile and say too much without setting the record straight," Rove said on Fox News.

Rove wants GOP presidential hopefuls to speak out. “If they’d step forward and say, ‘Look, we’ve got better things to talk about, then to fall into this trap that the White House has laid for us,’ this issue will start to go away.

There seems to be a rising sentiment among Republicans that the "birthers" are hurting their party.

"Barack Obama is a citizen of the country," said Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., speaking on CNN. "We ought to get off this kick. There are plenty of differences we have with the president between Republicans and Democrats than to spend time on something like this."

  9. Obama is recognized as the Commander and Chief by the other 2 branches of Government ,all state governments and The Military.
Obama was vetted by the Secret Service,FBI ,Clinton and McCain campaigns. He has presented the official birth certificate of the state he was born in and representatives from that state say his birth certificate is real and that he was born there.Taking that into consideration I would say he is eligible
