gabfly you seem smarter than a person who just recites the talking points of obamaloons.

you would compare a community organizer with a constitutional scholar.

That term is typically reserved for people who write extensively about the constitution, perhaps publish a treatise and are cited by jurists and legal commentators.

Obama's accomplishment in life, imo, is that he got to be senator and President.

  3. From a separate post: Do we really want someone who can simply buy an elected office? President? Ross Peror? John Kerrey? Donald Trump?

Limit the campaign spending, not the fund raising. Let them either raise funds, or fund themselves, but limit the spending to a reasonable number. And, cut the time frame for running for election, so that if they do win, they can focus on serving the people rather than re-election.

Simply hating Obama is not enough in my book to elect a president. Nor was simply hating Mr. Bush.

  4. Isn't that every parents dream? Isn't that what we were all taught in the great land of ours? Not bad credentials overall. When simple hate turns to jealously, kind of explains a lot. And, to be completely honest, I'm not too happy with what he's done either, I just don't see this false hatred perpetrated by talk show guys laughing all the way to the banks.

  5. Are you referring to Trump, the guy who launched his career through his father's already successful company? The self-involved megalomaniac whose financial statements are arguably more smoke-and-mirror than bottom line? The guy who ran into serious financial trouble more than once? The reality TV show personality who apparently "fires" participants whose principal shortcoming is that they don't show enough bombast, and to hell with meritocracy? Is that the bad haircut you're defending? And if so, why? Because it makes you look good?

  7. Hello

    Hello

    From your article:

Sen. Obama, who has taught courses in constitutional law at the University of Chicago, has regularly referred to himself as "a constitutional law professor," most famously at a March 30, 2007, fundraiser when he said, "I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution."

LOL!!! Another classic line from Obama.

I completely respect that accomplishment, that was not said out of jealousy or disrespect. I disrespect calling him a constitutional scholar.

If I had time or money I wish I were given a shot to serve in the Senate.

    that is another lower issue.
Whether he is a professor or not.

there is a debate about lecturer vs. professor.

I taught business law at a college, but I never called myself a professor. Obama was a senator, now president isn't that enough - why fake his background with bull shit.

he was a community organizer and apparently taught some law classes at a good school. why don't we leave it that.

prior to being senator he was no superman. neither am I.
