I'm back on the Trump bandwagon. I've been critical of these tariffs and alot of things he does. But he's still doing some great things.

But his 104% tariff on China shows us he's got more guts than every president in history. He's gonna do whatever it takes to stop China. He's not afraid of public opinion. If America is weak, we are all screwed. If you disagree with that, you don't know how the world works.
China is an existential threat to America and world safety.

I say this as a Canadian.

Russian state media cheered on President Donald Trump's tariffs, claiming they have "destroyed trust" and are a "major blow" to capitalism, Mediaite reported Monday.

Vladimir Solovyov, host of the "The Evening With Vladimir Solovyov," called for a statue to be built in Trump's honor.

"A monument should be erected to him," Solovyov said during a discussion with political scientist Dmitry Kulikov, according to the report. "This was a major blow to the system of capitalism."

Kulikov extolled Trump for wanting to "break everything," adding, "It looks like the end of the global system is coming, the global system that is about 50 years old."

The existential threat to the US and Western Europe is the welfare state. The numbers don't add up. Crypto currency suggests we are not that far away. Dictatorships will become more wide spread.

  6. The future 5 years from now, 20 years from now, 100 years from now... does feel rather bleak, stale and miserable.

I can't possibly imagine any scenario where it feels like peak human happiness 90's life again

The human race is fucked. Thanks to AI, power, control, inequality, dictatorships
