That link is highly sexist, I think you posted the wrong link. I expected to see an article on Curling, not a picture of Japanese housewives holding cleaning equipment (mops/squeegees).
I think most of the crowd completely missed your reference... But, just a few nights ago, an attorney I know asked if that movie was accurate. I wanted to ask if the person was being sarcastic.... but others sitting at the tabled seconded the question. Then a diplomatic person said creative license.
I think the japan house wife team can beat you at your sport. If you're from canada or usa or UK you all lost in mixed doubles to china and russia http://www.worldcurling.org/wmdcc20...go-head-to-head-for-world-mixed-doubles-title Japan came in 3rd worlds, and you didn't even qualify for your national team http://www.worldcurling.org/wmcc2016/livescores
Yeah I better stick to posting screen shots from Good Fellas. The movie represented the logical end of PC, reinventing historical episodes to fit PC narrative. It's why I have a rather low regard for history as a serious subject. I see events I observed in real time reported in clearly erroneous ways, usually due to political bias. I think that partly explains the alt right's skepticism about the Russian hacking claims. We see daily examples of the left just making stuff up and treating it as obviously true. Why would we give them any special credence on something like that?
I got the reference, I've only seen the preview and haven't bothered to read enough about the historical element to draw a conclusion. My gut feeling says it's more than likely a Hollywood stretch of the imagination. Not because I don't think black people can be smart, but more so because it wasn't like they were getting a decent education in those days.
