You took the bait, bobfrank. Nobody gives a rats arse about your educational qualifications....this thread is neither about you nor me. This a thread expressing many doubts about Miller's integrity publically. "Other wise shut your mouth"....you will find I have not written one word disparaging Miller's integrity .. But I have hit a nerve.... Quote, "Don Miller lacks integrity and is all about money", unquote...Bobfrank 10.31.09 Ne'er a truer word said in jest.......
Beside what Bob said, why does anybody need ANY qualification for teaching??? I had bad teachers with good qualificaions and I know good teachers without any educations. I think of myself as a good teacher, just read my relevant threads and decide for yourself. Joe Satriani has no teaching qualifications and he taught several of today's famous guitarplayers, just another example. Most famous musicians have educational vdeos, visit a musicstore. Most famous pokerplayers wrote books on how to play poker, I bet most don't have educational degrees. Hell, just about anybody who makes it to the top in ANY business writes a book on how to do it, why would Don be different? By the way, Don comes from a family of teachers, "My grandparents and both parents were teachers, as is my sister.", so the short answer is: GENETIC. He has a genetic disposition to be a teacher. P.S.: And if you ask why did they do it, there is a simple answer. For the extra income. (and a little ego trip too)
If Miller is indeed taking money from evangelical types, I am all for more of it. He is doing a great humanitarian service by taking the money. Think of all the African kids he is saving. Every Dollar diverted into his pockets is doing the world a great service http://buzz.yahoo.com/article/1:95e...ren-Denounced-As-Witches-By-Christian-Pastors
good question. ask don. he is the one who refers to education degrees numerous times in all sites. therefore it must be relevent in his mind, or why list it at all. if degrees are no more important than stats for bench press and number of situps don is capable of, list those frequent and prominent too. whats the difference? don repeatedly cried about no integrity of other educators. elevated himself as superior by touting performance and full transparency. his own words, many times. afterward he balked at his own industry demands from others and sunk himself down to the low levels dismissed by his own words. don is a modestly skilled trader with marginal edge exploited with large account balance. otherwise a legend in his own mind
You guys are being run up the flagpole, this is probably marketsurfer(banned) from tradingmarkets stirring the pot. It doesn't really matter who it is, all this bunch is doing is creating more interest in Don Miller and I don't think he's even bothered to show up here, lol. This is still one of the funniest things I've seen on ET. Redirect the energy into something worthwhile guys. Good trading.
Quote from xednise: all this bunch is doing is creating more interest in Don Miller good. his video information is worth its price. good material giving marginal edge and I don't think he's even bothered to show up here, lol. lol all you like. don has read every verse of this thread and all others that mention his name. giant ego wouldnt permit otherwise compete => compare => ego
Because Don is a HYPOCRITE SNAKE OIL VENDOR.... He started out offering everything free, bashing all the vendors, he would never charge for anything and then BANG...the performance numbers disappreared and the course appeared.... once snake oil, always snake oil...
A very basic question to ponder: Why would a successful trader "teach" his edge and setups to the entire world? I know the e-minis are highly liquid and his audience of retail traders cannot move the market, but any exposition of his purported "highly probable setups" diminishes his edge. The only rational reason for doing it could be that the money made by selling his teaching it outweights the loss in his razor-thin edge. I've been following him on and off for a year through his blog. I'm struck by how someone who talks about trading and other side issues so eloquently can obfuscate his real "strategy" so cleverly by using his own made up jargon and trader babble, that he forces you to pay to learn the "secret". I don't know about his real success as a trader but as a marketer he's right up there with the greats. Just give away enough to suck them in but not too much. Billy Mays (RIP) would have been proud. BTW, a simple google search reveals a variety of similar efforts under the names "Inner Circle", "Trade the Eminis" etc. So, I'd bet good money that 90% of this Jellie stuff is rehashed material with some stuff thrown in to burnish his (supposed) heroics during last year's meltdown.
Posted this twice before. But Don Miller deserves a triple award for the three sets of Jellies he has conned into buying his snake oil.
