WOW! I made it on the FBIâs 10 Most Wanted List! I canât believe I am a criminal. Letâs go over exactly what I assumed in my post that generating such persecution. I looked up Donâs posts in his PUBLIC Opening Orders Journal and recorded all the days he stated a profit or loss from his opening orders. I did not state that these were from his personal trading account. My excel spreadsheet listed the date and P&L amount that Don stated he made on that particular day. Example: Don Bright Bright Trading Registered: Oct 2001 Posts: 2975 07-07-03 02:49 PM Monday Morning.... OK, filled on 3, profits on 2....+$280. (coulda been more)..... Don __________________ Don Bright (not an alias) http://www.stocktrading.com I summed up all of the days he posted OO P&L info to arrive @ YTD amount. I assumed this was gross profit. I then calculated what a typical trader would have netted based on what I thought were typical commissions and expenses. I did not say that Don netted this amount only what I thought a typical trader would take home. My inputs were 2000 share lots and a commission rate of .01 per share. Plus, what Bright used to charge for a seat fee as stated on their website. When Don stated that he was filled on 3 lots, I assumed for each fill the typical trader would have commission costs on 4000 shares ( 2000 in and 2000 out). My spreadsheet simply contained all of the calculations. Whatâs the problem, why canât I add up figures from someone who is posting information on a public forum? I STATED THIS VERY CLEARLY. Someone else add up the P&L amounts on Donâs OO Journal. Please Administrator help out the little guy - what are the exact rules? What about harassment? Where do you draw the line? I am afraid to post any more info.
Sounds pretty reasonable to me. I don't know why people are jumping your ass or removing your spreadsheet. I don't see how you have much to worry about in the way of legal action. If someone posts their results in a public forum, I don't see the harm in someone else compiling and summing those results. It seems some here are wound pretty tight!
hey, I would not worry too much about the legal threat. I do not even know what is offensive about the post. Were the totals correct based on Don's posts or not? And then lescor said hey thats good money for 20 minutes a day. I thought Don was looking pretty good after your post and I will bet a lot of other people did also.
Assuming your numbers are correct (or close), you did nothing wrong and everything right. Somebody has to hold this guy accountable. This opening-only BS is fools gold. The specialists know people play this game. That and the fact that everyone and their dog are playing this idiotic strategy, is a recipe for failure. Don, the only one you should sue is yourself, for false "advertising." KINDLY NOTE: THIS IS JUST MY (POSSIBLY INCORRECT) OPINION DON. PLEASE DON'T ISSUE ME A SUMMONS.

Remember, only the posts on your ET OO journal that are in a public forum. Maybe you should start a running total if you are going to post daily amounts.
