Doing my part to curb carbon emissions LOL

  1. Pretty funny, and likely true. I like all types of cars, I know 'kumbaya' again, but I've had so many cars that I can't honestly say that one 'brand' is better than the other. Perhaps during certain years, time frames, that type of thing, but not overall.

A motor-head! How cool is that?!

I decided a few years ago that I just had to have a '70 SS Chevelle with the LS6 and matching numbers and was just completely stunned at how much they cost. It was going to be *at least* $50k and it needed to be cash. Just can't believe what a good investment those turned out to be. I couldn't find one in California that I could afford at the time.

Yeah the new Boss is sweet. I'm having the windows tinted Saturday morning and then will take pictures. The color is...a bit off-putting but the White, Blue or Yellow ones are pretty nice. Its pretty easy to drive and damned fast. The GT500 might be a little faster 0-60 mph but the Boss is no slouch and the Shelby was a nightmare to keep between the ditches. It was literally stressful to drive it. My fault for buying a convertible and thinking it would be ok.

That damn 'c' is still there. You just put some other words around it.

    No, I won't put a 'p' here either.

    Ok ok!

I apologize for saying that you sing Kumbaya! Please just stop with the martyr routine.

"I apologize unreservedly and I hereby withdraw my comment without qualification and pledge to never say the word Kumbaya henceforth." :D

Back in the day we wouldn't look twice at any Ford. It was Chevrolet all the way with my little group of hot rod friends.

I did trade my 1958 Apache stepside pickup for a 1956 Ford Fairlane 2-door Club Sedan and promptly put a 428 Super Cobrajet in it from a '67 Torino (might have been a '69, I can't remember). I found a 10-bolt Toploader 4-speed and narrowed a 9-inch Ford differential for it. It was pretty monstrous and I wish I'd kept it. Once the greatest experiences of my life was pulling up to a light next to a built '55 Chevy and giving him the what for in it.

  5. OK, LOL. No more 'k' word. I was just laughing at all that anyway.

The 56 Ford. My boss at the gas station I worked at while in 10th grade, had a beautiful Ford sedan as well. He put in a 392 that was blueprinted, basic street headers, and this thing rocked, even with the automatic in the damn thing.

The original 389 GTO, 3 deuce carb with 335 hp and a 4 speed as my envy. My best friend since like 5 years old, bought a brand new on, ordered it even. Dark blue, fast, and just plain cool.

Ah, the good old days. We could go on forever I guess. I remember most of my life based on the cars my parents had, I had or have, and even date special times based on cars. I can recall back to about 1954 for sure.

Anyway, no more martyr, would prefer to have friends with different points of view, as I do with my trading buddies.

Thanks for rubbing it in.:( None the less, these TRUE muscle cars (horrible in turns, and braking), were investments that guys like me didn't see at the time.:( Yes, I should be shot at high noon! :(

As far as the shelby, I understand something most don't: Boost... I sold a 2006 C6 Vette when things became difficult for me being a performance-only RIA... It is what it is I guess... I do miss the acceleration the already 400hp LS3 put out, but with a pro charger, larger injectors, and magnaflow exhaust, I REALLY missed this C6 when the weather is nice! Boost is fun when u can control it. Doing a doughnut at 85mph is NOT cool imo. Gotta know how to drive these super cars imo.:)

Day of Rescue (dirty ears too). :)

Mildred was abandoned on my mountain in a snowstorm and I got bitten trying to rescue her. She turned out to be a great dog.

    I like the new Mustang.

Your dog looks like she's only about a year or so old. Nice looking pup.
