Dogs really ARE smarter than cats. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...gs-really-smarter-cats-research-suggests.html I am not sure if this belongs here or in the P&R forum.
My cat will not be happy to hear this and the dog will happily nod in agreement. I tend to believe they just have different personalities rather than intelligence, but one thing for sure, my life would be less joyful without them.
I never knew there was even a debate. There are of dozens and dozens of things a dog can be taught to do that a cat couldn't learn in a million years. For the life of me...I can't think of one thing a cat can do that a dog can't. Climb a tree I suppose; thats about it. Am I missing some?
Corrected it for you This said, I am not surprised. Seems like social animals are, in general, more intelligent.
Dogs are very smart but also pretty gullible. I live with a dog and a cat and the cat has the dog wrapped around her pinky.
