Nobody on here thinks you are a high earner ( eg at least $700K a year income ). Unless you are into illegal drug sales or are a pimp, and have dodged being arrested yet. Even then I doubt you'd do well at business.

He was running a huge deficit before Covid hit. So I guess your strategy here is just assume he'll balance the budget like he says. When he AGAIN hands over a huge govt deficit to the next Democratic govt, you'll AGAIN pretend it never happened. Or make up an excuse. If Covid was the sole problem, you'd have to explain why Canada's debt to GDP is half of yours and our current deficit is far more reasonable. Of note was that in the 1980s, Canada ran a far higher debt to GDP then the US, and we flipped that script with higher taxes. The US is pretending they don't have to raise taxes, while stuff like Social Security obligations is going to overwhelm the treasury.

  7. Is this a real post? I don't pretend anything.

How much was spent on Covid?

You’ve perfectly encapsulated why Canada is the freeloading neighbor of the international community, shamelessly coasting on the coattails of American generosity and military might. While the U.S. shoulders the lion’s share of NATO’s defense burden, Canada continues to nickel-and-dime its way through its commitments, content to let others foot the bill for its security. It’s a textbook example of a nation enjoying the benefits of collective defense while contributing the bare minimum if that. This disparity underscores a glaring imbalance: while the U.S. pours resources into safeguarding global stability, Canada continues to shirk its responsibilities, content to let others do the heavy lifting.

This is one of the biggest reasons:
In 2023, Canada's military spending amounted to 1.38% of its GDP or $27.2 billion, a figure that falls short of the NATO target of 2%. Canada is one of eight NATO members not meeting this target, with the government aiming to reach 2% by 2032.

In 2023, the US military spent approximately $820.3 billion on national defense, which was about 13.3% of the entire federal budget for that fiscal year.

You overspend on military. We are all aware of your love of wars and weapons. 2% is a guideline not something everyone agrees on; Canada is going to up our spending as it makes sense to us and our country. You actually depend heavily on the rest of NATO whether you understand it or not. Now if Canada was at risk, do you really think it's good for you to have say Russia or China as your neighbor ? And look at all this trade war bs with Canada ( not China or Russia ) why would that compel us to do more ?

Seriously some of you ugly Americans are too much and just need to fuck off.

  9. Again, you illustrated the problem. Without the US, Canada would be controlled by Russia or China. So, if you don't want Putin to be your president, pay up bitches.

Seriously, some of you ugly, freeloading Canadian's need to pay your fair share and fuck off. Or, you can become the 51st state.

Not true at all. But you can dream that all you want. You obviously don't understand how the world works. And the 51st state nonsense is a nonstarter. Maybe ask yourself why the US couldn't hold Vietnam, Afghanistan. If the US wants to dump allies they'll stock together and oppose the US.
