More importantly. Is there a game plan? Are they looking to privatize most of these functions like they did prisons? All you hear is noise.

As of last night, many federal agencies including Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Internal Revenue Service, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the FBI, and the Department of Energy were told not to respond to Musk's email.

As of this morning, nearly every single federal agency including the military has told their civilian employees not to respond to the email.

Musk greatly overstepped his bounds and now has pissed off all the Trump appointees now leading these agencies.

Agencies seek guidance on latest Musk OPM email, with some urging employees to hold off responding
Multiple federal agencies appeared to be caught off guard by the email.

The FDIC is funded by the banks, not the federal government. The FDA group which oversees medical device companies is funded by the companies, not the federal government. These purges of employees saves the federal government no money while undermining oversight.

Hundreds in DOGE purge had jobs not paid by taxpayers - lowering the amount of savings America sees by cuts

Let's walk through some math. Suppose every federal employee did respond to Trump's email providing a summary of what they did that week. Let's say creating the summary takes each employee 15 minutes. The average federal government employee salary is $106,462 per year or about $51.18 per hour according to the latest figures.

If there are 2.4 million civilian federal employees and each takes 15 minutes of time -- how much federal taxpayer money is spent to create these 2.4 million responses? 15 minutes of time is $12.80 --- multiplied by 2,400,000 employees equals $30,720,000 of tax payer money spent for no reasonable purpose. Yeah, and Musk wants to do this every week.

Very different than what Trump is doing with DOGE -- where many of the EO actions are illegal and are being challenged in courts.

Let's see what this Executive Order from Obama covered.

"With this Order, the President is directing agencies to reduce spending on travel; limit the number of information technology devices (e.g. cell phones, smartphones, tablets, laptops) that can be issued to individual employees; stop unnecessarily printing documents that can be posted online; shrink the executive fleet of the federal government; and stop using taxpayer dollars to buy swag -- the plaques, clothing, and other unnecessary promotional items that agencies purchase. Overall spending in the areas covered by the Executive Order will be reduced by 20 percent, saving billions."
