The materials for CFA is most relevant for analyst type jobs and fund mangement. But, a potential employer in any financial field, should know that a CFA charterholder is at least competent, hard-working and coignizant enough to have passed all three levels. Ask all those who have been through it or who have tried, and you will understand the enorminity of the subjects covered, not necessarily in a very detailed manner, but very very demanding and comprehensive indeed. There are different degrees or MBAs from different schools and it is hard to draw comparison but a CFA charterholder is the same whether from Mozambique or New York.
"good part time MBA" were my exact words. NYU, Chicago, Northwestern, Berkeley,UCLA, Michigan, Emory, UT Not "ivy league" by name, but good MBAs, wouldnt you say so?
