Does TA matter anymore when the market is rigged?

  1. You don't get to see the real price action when the shorts are gone and the artificial bottom created by the government.

  2. no. sometimes charts make news and sometimes news makes charts.

  3. Sure, it still works, Just from now on you can only take the buysignals, and you must ignore the sellsignals - ha!

  4. Just don't trade the financial stocks to get around the new no short-selling rule.

There's also the option of trading futures that don't have such a rule nor the uptick rule.

Simply, you always have a market to trade to apply your TA.

  5. LOL

But seriously, sure TA still works. More from a self-fulfilling standpoint than before because a significant portion of market particpants use some sort of TA, but it still works. Buy dips is easier however.
