I would have to say no. I know for a fact that it screws up your short term memory which can't be good for trading.

I think you're looking at "creativity" a bit too narrowly and literally. To be creative is not just to "invent" or "create", but to be able to see more depth in things than you would otherwise, to see things from a different, fresher perspective, to see something new in something old, and to use feelings and intuition as well as, and along with, intellect.

It reduces your iq to the level of a house cat if that is any indication. I'm not saying it is not fun, I'm not saying it is not relaxing but..... housecats are very dumb, I know that from personal experience, a lot of it.

  7. Intuition/fresh perspectiveness may be unlocked when trading, but so too is the unconscious desire to sabotage oneself, it can be a double edged sword. This trait can be anaesthetized for a period but in the long run it will play havoc under the effect when you least expect it.

Better to be disciplined about it and stick to what a trader knows has a positive expectancy because of after market hours research. The straight jacket of system has more power in the long run IMHO.

That would depend completely upon the individual, what was "unlocked" or not. For moi, and many others, pot makes us more aware of, and gives us insights into, our own pysche's, therefore enabling us to better deal w/our own shortcomings.

  9. The objective of trading is to make money, if someone has an edge(s) then all they need to do is put them into practise day in and out. The insights that a trader may get under the influence of pot when looking at the screen waiting for an edge to come up are interesting intruders best left alone lest they distract from the primary goal. Awareness does not mean overcoming, that takes understanding and for that meditation is a more permanent form of self development.

What "intruders"? What "distractions"? I don't get intruded by anything, I don't get distracted by anything. Pot doesn't put little men in my head that are chattering to each other. It opens up the mind I already have and allows me to use it more efficiently.
