Does prop firm usually hire international students?

  1. Does any1 know if firms like Trillium, Opus, Chimera etc. hire int'l students?

    yes, but only vietnamese ones
  3. If you're foreign but obtained American citizenship then yes.

If you seek to get sponsorship for a work visa then the odds of getting hired decline dramatically. Very few firms will consider you, especially considering the high pool of domestic candidates.

If you pursue the "leveraged broker" prop firms where you put up your own capital and get 99% payout then I'm sure you can easily "work" there... that is pay a broker for leverage.

Well that depends? Do you have a credit card and are you willing to pay a $25,000 training fee and a $25,000 deposit? Well if so, then you're in.
  5. The firms he listed don't take contributions from the majority of their traders.

They also pay a salary if you don't meet a monthly P/L goal

I dont think that Trillium and Opus take contributions from any of their traders. Chimera isnt really in the same category as the other two but does back some newer traders from what I hear and does take in capital contributions from many of their traders or the groups that run their business through them.
