Your arguing with the Pope who admitted it was all a big lie. [/B][/QUOTE]

You better get the exact quote from the Pope.

The Romans crucified Jesus at the request of some Jewish leaders.

My memory states that the Pope said it is improper to blame the jews.

I do not recall him saying it was all a big lie.

  3. Glad to see you've got a bit of humor. I do think you should cool down a bit though.

  4. Thank you for the possible correction.

Of course nobody has bad feelings to the Romans over it. Bit of a paradox.

  5. If the land had been purchased they would have every right to be there. But the jews did not purchase the state of isreal.

Do you have info to the contrary?

  6. OptionTrader,

That is some excellant info and I have to admit I've never read the bible so I wouldn't have known any of that. Thanks for the summary. (seriously)

I'm assuming you're religious from that posting. I am not. And I know of no precedent in which the bible was used as a legally binding document for a property dispute. The jews that were around 3000 years ago are certainly not alive today, nor were they in 1948. I seriously doubt there are any land records going back that far either.

So if we assume the bible is historically accurate the land may have been theirs at one time in history. I still don't believe the governments of Great Britain and the United States had any right to displace the people already living there and give it to the jews.

actually, no one was responsible for his death imo.

if you read scripture (both jewsh and christian) the death of Jesus was predicted as were many other events in his life. he was supposed to die for our sins.

    can we change fate?

  8. some historians are now claiming that it was jesus that instructed judas to "portray" him as a fulfilment.

  10. I'm glad to see you're sincere and not just bickering.

    1. About the Bible determining who owns what land: Jews, Muslims, and Christians all believe the Bible (Torah) was given to the Jews at Mount Sinai by God. God created the world, and therefore owns the world; in the merit of owning the world, He decided to give Israel to the Jewish nation.

    2. About old-timers not being alive today: a) About everyone in the world believes in inheritence. b) Not too many of the displaced Arabs from 1948 are alive either today--the number of Arabs residing in Israel today exceeds that number.

Since you appreciated the facts I provided before, here's a few more:

    1. ARAB REFUGEES FROM ISRAEL BEGAN CALLING THEMSELVES "PALESTINIANS" IN 1967, TWO DECADES AFTER (MODERN) ISRAELI STATE HOOD.

    2. VIRTUALLY THE ENTIRE JEWISH POPULATION OF MUSLIM COUNTRIES HAD TO FLEE AS THE RESULT OF VIOLENCE AND POGROMS.

    3. SOME 630,000 ARABS LEFT ISRAEL IN 1948, WHILE CLOSE TO A MILLION JEWS WERE FORCED TO LEAVE THE MUSLIM COUNTRIES.

    4. IN SPITE OF THE VAST TERRITORIES AT THEIR DISPOSAL, ARAB REFUGESS WERE DELIBERATELY PREVENTED FROM ASSIMILATING INTO THEIR HOST COUNTRIES. OF 100 MILLION REFUGEES FOLLOWING WORLD WAR 2, THEY ARE THE ONLY GROUP TO HAVE NEVER INTEGRATED WITH THEIR CO-RELIGIONISTS. MOST OF THE JEWISH REFUGEES FROM EUROPE AND ARAB LANDS WERE SETTLED IN ISRAEL, A COUNTRY
    NO LARGER THAN NEW JERSEY.

    5. DURING THE JORDANIAN OCCUPATION, JEWISH HOLY SITES WERE VANDALIZED AND WERE OFF LIMITS TO JEWS. UNDER ISRAELI RULE, ALL MUSLIM AND CHRISTIAN HOLY SITES ARE ACCESSIBLE TO ALL FAITHS.
