"Iran is also increasing its leverage among the Palestinian Authority's Islamist factions. Over the past two years, Israel's successes against Hamas have led the group to seek an accommodation with Hezbollah, signing an unexpected strategic accord in March of 2004 to cement Hezbollah'sâandIran'sâinfluence over the most prominent terrorist organization in the Palestinian territories. The other Islamist terror outfit in the Palestinian Authority, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, meanwhile, is already a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Islamic Republic â one whose resources have been dramatically increased by Tehran since mid-2002." http://www.washtimes.com/op-ed/20050125-090621-1263r.htm
sorry, wrong page.. "But terrorism experts considered Iranian-backed or controlled groups -- namely the country's Ministry of Intelligence and Security operatives, its Revolutionary Guards and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah" http://nucnews.net/nucnews/2006nn/0604nn/060402nn.txt
Experts consider? Does that constitute proof that Iran is controlling Hezbollah? Remember, some so called experts said Saddam had functional and ready to fire WMD and was a threat to our very existence, etc.
There is a little more don't worry.... "Hezbollah was a creature of the Iranian government: *4 Both from the accounts of Hezbollah members and from the accounts of the Iranians and of every academic study that I'm aware of, certainly at this time, Hezbollah is largely under Iranian orders. It's almost entirely acting at the--under the order of the Iranians and being financed almost entirely by the Iranians." http://www.beirutstamp.com/lawsuit.html
Sorry, maybe I am missing something. I have not yet seen proof (opinions are not proof, nor are speculations) that Hezbollah is controlled by Iran, that they do not exist independently, and make no decisions on their own. I am not supporting Hezbollah in any way, nor any other terrorist organizations, but manufacturing supposed direct connections and representing them as fact, is what led us into the Iraq way.... A parallel argument would be that Israel is funded and controlled by the USA...the USA does fund and pledges full support (when does the USA ever condemn the actions of Israel) but I don't believe we control Israel, and I don't believe Iran controls Hezbollah, but please keep trying to provide proof....I might change my mind.
Don't miss so much...read the part where it says "the court finds": You know more than the court in this case also heh? lol " It is clear that the formation and emergence of Hezbollah as a major terrorist organization is due to the government of Iran. Hezbollah presently receives extensive financial and military technical support from Iran, which funds and supports terrorist activities. The primary agency through which the Iranian government both established and exercised operational control over Hezbollah was the Iranian Ministry of Information and Security ("MOIS"). MOIS had formerly served as the secret police of the Shah of Iran prior to his overthrow in 1979. Despite the revolutionary government's complete break with the old regime, it did not disband MOIS, but instead allowed it to continue its operations as the intelligence organization of the new government. Based on the evidence presented at trial, the Court finds that MOIS acted as a conduit for the Islamic Republic of Iran's provision of funds to Hezbollah, provided explosives to Hezbollah and, at all times relevant to these proceedings, exercised operational control over Hezbollah." http://www.beirutstamp.com/lawsuit.html
A court in 2003 found..... So that means OJ didn't kill his wife, because in a court a jury found..... So that means that all the decisions of liberal judges constitutes fact.... Thanks.... So a case, in which only the plaintiffs presented their side of the story to a US court about an event in 1983, is evidential proof that the government of Iran now currently controls Hezbollah. Ah, this is sort of like saying Saddam had WMD in the early 90's, therefore he must have them now, he must be a threat to our very existence, he must intend to use them against us, and we must attack him now....
Some people just are just soooo stubborn... pls read the complete article dated 4/4/06: "Although the Lebanese government technically controls the border area, its military is not considered strong enough to control Hizbollah, which takes its orders directly from Teheran." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/04/04/wiran04.xml
