  1. What real-time data are you referring to?

US stock data was free if you traded but they now charge I think.

    I use:

    NYSE - $1.50
    AMEX - $1.50
    NASDAQ - $1.50
OPRA - $1.50 (refunded to me, so my cost $0)
Snapshot and Futures Bundle - ($10, refunded to me, so my cost is $0)
    IDEALPRO - Free
Some other one for quotes on corporate bonds - Free

Total cost: $4.50/month, which gets me top of book futures, streaming equities and equity options, forex, and corporate debt. As long as I spend at least $30/mo in commissions (which I always do.)

  5. Indeed. This changed a couple of years ago. Now you have to pay for NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ individually.

Some time ago, I have the same deal as @Ryan81. The fees are much higher if you're trading as a professional.
