Does everyone have CNBC turned on while trading ?

  8. Do not watch television and trade CNBC or Bloomberg, at all. Turn it off.

    The reason is that you dont know how the markets will react to the news. Is the bankruptcy rumors priced into GM? Maybe, maybe not...who knows.

    Study price action and charts. That will tell you more of whats going on then the news.

    Chances are that by the team its leaked to the newsdesks, its been circulated around the trade-desks well before...

I think it’s better not to get distracted with the news, not only distracted, watching the news can make you panic and that’s the ruin for the trader, journalists are just so excited when talking about what can be affecting the market prices and they transmit all those sentiments. Music is a good choice, charts dance…
