While I don't support what brother TGregg posted, I do support this: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Conservatives continually get this wrong. Freedom of speech means someone can't be locked up for being a bigoted foul-mouthed ignoramus. It does NOT mean his ass can't be fired for violating workplace rules of conduct, or removed from situations like cussing up a storm in a playground full of children or removed from private property for violating whatever the property owner deems proper speech and conduct. There are limits on all freedoms, including freedom of speech. You couldn't have a viable society of any kind without rules. Only lunatics and irredeemable fools believe in anarchy.
You're confused about the distinction between government and privately-owned business. The latter can require employees to refrain from telling customers to go fuck themselves and fire them if they do so.
Sounds like chickenshit racism to me. Cowards like TGregg want to express their racism while pretending they're really not by using a derivative of the original insult that they stupidly believe only like-minded people are intelligent enough to figure out. It's part of the mindset where the biggest dumbases in the room assume they're the smartest people in the room, because they just don't get it.
Libtards, when confronted with one of the few places on the internet where they can't implement their self serving speech code.
Exsqueeze me, but...DID YOU SAY PRIVATELY-OWNED WEB SITE? I just can't find anything in the Constitution about abridging free speech in a privately owned web site. And, yes, I do understand that the law is only important to you and your kind if you happen to agree with it. That old raggy Constitution don't mean shit, right? (P.S.---What was your original nickname here on ET?)
BTW...Thanks for clearing up the Constitution for all of us. Maybe you can help us with the second amendment now.
No confusion here, brother DB. You know, already, that I'm one of those freedom addicted maniacs. So, a privately owned business can require an employee to refrain from directing vulgar comments toward customers and fire them if they do so. DUH...What else is news? BUT THAT EMPLOYEE STILL HAS THE RIGHT TO SAY IT. Spend less time posting on ET and more time reading the Constitution, if it doesn't offend your addiction to liberal slavery too much.
