I see COST show signs of sell. Here are my reasons: 1- Warren Buffet sold all his COST shares. I dont know his reasons but based on research that he can do, I am sure he had good reasons. 2- COST announced $10 special dividend on ex dividend date of Dec 2. This shows signs of protection against Buffet sell. It also shows COST could not use it to expand and had no other plan to use that $4.4B cash 3- High P/E and may be the end of COVID era hearing that vaccine might be around the corner. 4- Today's price action which opened at $388 and now it is at 384. No action so far on my side but I have COST under my radar.
400k out of 2.4m - not that out of the ordinary. Now looking at a one minute chart expecting to find long term clues is.
COST is a great company and a great stock but sometimes it gets carried away and I try to identify those periods and take advantage of it. Thanks for all the feedbacks. Somehow I want to put more weight in Warren's decision to get out after 20 years as I believe he has made that decision after lots of meetings and evaluations. Many fund managers might get motivated to follow him. I like those who meaningfully disagree with me.
20 years ago, the price was around $10. Now the price has increased by 40 times !!!! If you have bought it long ago, you would have taken most of the profit. will price collapse? Not so soon. Is it wise to enter a new position to buy or is it wise to short it? Newbies will do it.
