Ask yourself this, if a trader has spent years of getting good before trading and usually alone, then years of getting good trading(there is a difference) and usually alone, whatever the fee they can charge should be a very small amount as to what they make in a day, and mostly good traders don't want the aggravation of working with people for fears and you get where you work alone, working with people can be huge pain in the arse. I recently stopped taking students to mentor cause one of them hired a programmer which violates the "sharing" agreement we had. I don't mind at all of those who work and program on their own but do mind when people start telling others as the others can see how good something is and then sell it, then I have more people to compete against. I learned several years ago, by charging people you are committed to them length of time, and 95% of their problems are within their 2 ears, plus you have to often rewrite systems to be able for them to discover within themselves how what I showed them to work for themselves. I have learned you CANNOT teach people how to trade, you can guide them and set it up they discover elements they need to know, but people who think it is just learning a system, in for huge fall cause their are teachers who know price action and there are system developers who don't know price action well. You have to know what is going on besides setting up for signals, there is 100% going on to left of now that you can see and if chart is SCREAMING at you not to take a trade, if you not learned this cause you learned how to trade a system, you most likely have losses. <<www.tradingpriceactiononfutures.com>> They not doing lately well, perhaps they do well in trending markets or chop markets, one reason why it best to have achievable goals and reduce contract size is they seem to do well at some point then lose that amount, don't know as I don't know if they scale out or average down. I think it is better to scale down like at minus $50 as then risking $50 less and able to make $50 more. But again, if so much time has passed and not become profitable, have to target enough to cover fees most of the time and end the trade. There is so much information on earlier posts from before 2005, start there and go backwards, back then traders were more free with information. Even with a good mentor, you are going to have to bust your rump learning and when you have a good question to ask the forum, ask but make sure you have tried your best to learn on your own. Good luck and welcome aboard.
Having read the reviews of www.tradingpriceactiononfutures.com it seems the system is obsolete and does not work anymore. The owner has stopped updating his results page as well (results like this are easy to fake anyway). Why would anyone who's making money have a trading room in the first place? He's not profitable and like all others only makes money by peddling his subscribtion services. Plenty of scammers like that out here! Beware! Glad to see you havent left Handle!
If you are not a newbie, can you please state what you think you need to know in order to daytrade successfully, and what you expect a mentor to do for you? J_S
That is weird, are you saying Handle123 has posted in this thread, and if so, why can I not see the post? J_S
Here is a company that mentors..... http://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/online-trading-academy-epic-fail.301348/
You are so right-too many simple don't have the discipline. Anyone who making good money trading, it is not so much of letting others know your signals as it is to knowing you have to show up, begins to be like a job, and subscribers just complain anyway, either they had to take kids to school and you took all the trades when they were gone and they expect you to give more signals. Also, vendors start to show up, I had one time guy giving out all my signals to his room, wtf, I was charging $300 and he was charging $500 and he had more subscribers than me, LOL, told him to either pay me 2k or adios, he left and couple months later folded. I just got out of hospital today, many tests, am going to have to go back home and get more #@##^&*&^ treatments as I am not in remission, crap. I will post some, but reduction I think, going to go to the gym twice a day I think, body hurts from doing simplest things. Maybe do the exercise that Baron is/was doing. My diet is working to lose weight, raw veggies and drop them into cold tomato soup with Italian tomato chunks, you eat this everyday, as much as you want, then salad and very little dressing, hard boiled eggs 3 times a week, not too much salt, any fresh fruits, lots of water and coffee. No breads, pasta, potatoes, sugar, but can have hard candy, salt free popcorn, and make sure vitamins and supplements like CQ10, calcium, Magnesium, Tumeric, Gingeroot, Vitamin C(10,000% for cancer), B Complex(2500% for diabetic foot pain), you should lose weight. I am averaging 10-15 pounds a month. Good trading all.
There are a few mentors here. Look for ones who write the longest posts and get the most likes. Either that or Craigslist.
My intuition was right. When you made that recent thread post about Handle leaving ET and spending more time traveling. I thought to myself...that sounds like someone who is planning to kick the bucket (not to sound insensitive, just saying)
The OP would be much better served to go online and do a bit of searching for himslef, instead of looking for mentors - 2 minutes, and I mean 2 minutes, turned up this book, which, having glanced thru is very good for any person seriously considering daytrading US stocks. If I can find it in 2 min, then so can you, as it is all about "The Truth About xxx xxxxxxx xxxxxx". Again, as with all of these books - scan, note, move on - if you can not understand the big picture in bout 5 min of browsing thru the book, then the book is useless This book is worth browsing J_S
Just had a quick look - there are roughly 14 x 27 trading related ebooks on the site - I will not give the link, as I know a good few of ye will download them all and save them to your 6 TB external hard drive - for "future reference" Spend some time researching online, learn how to identify related content quickly and easily, and after a while you will nearly know the minute you find the site if it is worth looking at or not - "separate the wheat from the chaff"..remember J_S in case you don't believe me - this is bout half way down
