Does anyone here have experience with Nadex

  1. Hello,

    Does anyone here have experience with Nadex? If so, what are the advantages and disadvantages? under what circumstances is it better than regular trading? In what situations is it less effective?

    Thanks

    What destriero really means are binary options are a straight up casino style scam. Do not get involved with these things.

    The digitals are synthetic verticals, so of little utility unless you like credit-risk, small size and enormous commissions. They are also so skewed to net-long gamma (flow is short gamma), that a daily 30-delta digital can trade as high as 60/100.

    What I meant is that there are quite a few threads on the subject.

    It's not worth it, mate. Always use a reputable brand.

  6. The main benefit of nadex is you can model options on very short time frames. There are arb opportunities as well. Trade it daily.

  7. Is that the venue where Surf trades binaries?

  8. Not sure where surf trades. Trading with any firm which takes the other side of your trade is fraught with peril, and Nadex and Cantor do not take the other side of the trade.

  9. The CFTC and SEC have received numerous complaints of fraud associated with websites that offer an opportunity to buy or trade binary options through Internet-based trading platforms. The complaints fall into at least three categories: refusal to credit customer accounts or reimburse funds to customers; identity theft; and manipulation of software to generate losing trades, plus others.

    These schemes from binary option markets include some or all the following;
    Refusing to credit customer accounts,
    Denying fund reimbursement,
    Identity theft,
    Manipulation of software to generate losing trades.
    Misleading return payouts
    Bonus structures and other practices that are meant to entice more funds from clients and make it more difficult to withdrawal them
    Not Being Registered with the CFTC/SEC and offering contracts to US Citizens

    Note: Nadex is registered with the CFTC and NFA

    The CFTC warns folks about fraud and binary options;
    http://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/fraudadv_binaryoptions

    Nadex seems to have a "clean" record with the NFA. To wit;

    Plenty on the Internet about the pros and cons of Binary Options.

    I don't see myself ever trading them. I'm an S&P 500 E-mini kind of guy. ESU5 weekly options currently. I know nothing about binary options except, apparently, it's an on/off, win/lose, 0/1 proposition. Akin to playing craps in Vegas and, as in the case of all casino games, the binary dealers seem to always have the edge.

    Do you homework first before sending a check.
