You don't have enough sleep. Based on your statement, you slept 4-6 hrs a day. Most folks like you need 7-8. So you have chronic sleep deprivation. No wonder you felt sleepy. If your trading methodology is staring at the screen waiting for entry or exit signals from charts, TA... then you might as well automate your trade. You have the skills, so do what Handle123 did and automate. Some of us trade differently and we need lots of analysis, research, number crunching... to enter/exit a trade, no time to be bored. Best wishes to you.
Sometimes I do feel sleepy when I trade, but I think it's mostly because I have insomnia occasionally, rather than because of the actual trading.
%% Great points; but i never made the points on smaller time frames, too much commissions, slippage+ whipsaws. But market maker$, specialists can do well ,so that is not a prediction on time frames.Wisdom is profitable to direct.
I think I have a delayed sleep phase disorder. However, now with the time change I will still try to go to bed at the old time I.e. An hour early. That should probably make a difference. Also maybe I should try to keep a journal on here to give me some accountability
Do you snore? and if so is it loud like maybe gagging? what is your BMI index? over 25? do you only get sleepy while trading or is it something that happens around 1-2pm whether ur trading or not?
No I don't snore. My BMI is 19. And yes I feel sleepy everyday around 9 and 10am PST. Strangely I have no problem waking up in the morning. It is just that after a few hours I feel sleepy again.
For me its the opposite. I cannot sleep that well when trades are on. I wake up to check on my positions during the Euro sessions.
