Does a VPS really help slippage when scalping futures?

Way faster. No 3rd party software is going to reduce slippage in a competitive trade no matter how it’s configured, where it’s located or how much you pay.

If the trade is non-competitive then the only benefit of VPS or collocation is hardware and network stability. Which is not a negligible consideration. Hosted TT or something similar is good, but it’s not going to make trades work that weren’t working before.

One question. There's no mention of VPN. So, technically speaking, if I were to use a cloud hosting like AWS, there would still be a lag. Any good suggestion to drastically reduce the time without having spend a fortune?

    Strategy works on demo
Which of course is not real market.
It would work well in real market if a VPS could reduce the slippage

While that might be true in a slow moving market, which we're in for the most part, speed does matter (a lot) in a fast market, especially if you rely on market orders.

Are you saying they have auto-trading built into their system?

    Yes
    As does TradeStation and Ninja

Yeah, I knew about those two. But they don't offer co-lo.

BTW I looked at Generic's product videos and there's no mention of strategy-trading.

    Yes I’m mistaken
Confused it with the Demo account
