  1. NEW YORK (AP) — Bank of America will start charging debit-card users $5 a month to pay for purchases

Screwing over 1 American at a time. :)

Change banks. Anyone still banking at BAM deserves to pay $5 more.

    I'm sure it was Buffett's idea. :D

Probably Buffets idea of making sure all BofA customers pay their fair share.

  5. Leftists are always told,
costs are always passed onto the consumer,
there's no such thing as a free lunch,
and it was an unintended consequence. [IMG]

I don't use debit cards; they benefit the bank only. I always use credit cards.

It's the start of a trend: JPM, WF, and BofA starting to do it, others will follow.

  7. I believe Wells Fargo is doing something similar.

I pay a fair bit more than $5 a month for my debit card, but it does allow an unlimited number of transactions. I could pay nothing on it, if I kept my trans. down to something like 10 a month, lol. Credit card is not an entire solution, you may pay it off every month, but you still have a yearly fee (for most).

    I dumped BofA last night.

Been looking for an international bank over the last week or so and settled on HSBC.
