NEW YORK (AP) — Bank of America will start charging debit-card users $5 a month to pay for purchases


Screwing over 1 American at a time.

 

Change banks. Anyone still banking at BAM deserves to pay $5 more.

I'm sure it was Buffett's idea.

 

We left BoA sometime last year, fuck'em.

 

Probably Buffets idea of making sure all BofA customers pay their fair share.

 

Leftists are always told,
costs are always passed onto the consumer,
there's no such thing as a free lunch,
and it was an unintended consequence.

I don't use debit cards; they benefit the bank only. I always use credit cards.

 

It's the start of a trend: JPM, WF, and BofA starting to do it, others will follow.

 

I believe Wells Fargo is doing something similar.

 

I pay a fair bit more than $5 a month for my debit card, but it does allow an unlimited number of transactions. I could pay nothing on it, if I kept my trans. down to something like 10 a month, lol. Credit card is not an entire solution, you may pay it off every month, but you still have a yearly fee (for most).

 

I dumped BofA last night.

Been looking for an international bank over the last week or so and settled on HSBC.

 

2 words. Credit Union.
