I'm not so sure I'd agree with that. Republican candidate Linda McMahon is polling very well, has an unlimited source of funding available to take the seat, as her husband (Vince McMahon) is head of World Wrestling Entertainment and is multi-zillionaire. I would however agree that the Democrats chances are better with Dodd retiring.
Peter Schiff is also the republican candidate. He has a pretty strong grass roots effort going with him where as linda is just throwing money at this race hoping to win. I really have to wonder about people like Linda Mcmahon that will spend 20 million of her own money (did she say 20 or 50 i dont remember) to get a job that pays 174k per year.
