Two things, Like someone here pointed out, if the 90% number is based upon blown accounts...then it doesn't take into account traders opening another account with that same, or a different broker. And if so, that 90% number is inflated. And, once someone finds their holy grail, they may no longer spend so much time doing the same activities they were busily doing while searching for it. They can't talk about it here, i.e. give it away. And they have few, if any, questions to ask.
interested in what? who cares about their documentary... and why? vanity? those who day-trade successfully (and there are probably not more than a dozen of them for the whole country) long time ago passed the point when they wanted everybody to stand up while they entering the room ....
I feel that this site deserves better posts than what we see in this thread. There is so much opportunity almost every day, what you can make is only limited by your imagination. Computer trading is here to stay, but to say that "trading is done almost exclusively by computers" is missing the point. There is as much opportunity toady as there was when I started out in '99. See attached notebook for a look back in time. There are some nuggets on this site, I would suggest that beginners do a search now and then for posts that are way back in time. One example is the first post on this thread: The Flip-A-Coin trading strategy and lessons learned from it Well written, honest and food for thought. H.
well what are in your opinion should be the reasons for daytraders to participate in your research? daytraders do not need money, they need no acknowledgement from the public, they care less about educating the public, or public awareness about the issue etc, etc... so what should be the reasons to invite someone in your life to make a movie about it?
c'mon, you can't think of a reason besides vanity why somebody might wanna use an alternative platform, other than this chat forum, to talk about finance systems and markets?
why would they want to talk, they are not selling anything. u confuse daytaderrs with some one else... people come here mostly to chat like in a smoking room
if all day traders are merely concerned with making a buck, that's quite sad, but I know this isn't true. I myself know many traders who have higher intellectual pursuits while also make money doing it. That being sad, there is nothing wrong with somebody wanting to participate in the research of this film out of shear vanity...
and we are not talking about system or markets... its extremely private business everybody is for himself.. knowledge here is mostly not transferable unlike any other human enterprise
