You've been here since 1999..... So mucho respect even though we have never spoken to each other. She is a forward thinker, and she puts her money where her mouth is. But geez, there's lots of forward thinkers out there right? I guess I don't see it. I do my DD on stocks, for daytrades and for the long term. Honestly... I fail to see her purported genius here. But she is managing billions, and that does matter in a big way. A BIG way. So comparing a few astute stock pickers here to her is certainly not an apples to apples comparison. I realize that. FWIW, I took a decent hit on DOCU too.
What does my having created an account in 1999 have to do with anything?? I don't see her any differently than Einhorn or Ackman or any of the others who were forward thinking when they were hot. You seem to have some real dislike for her. Cuz she's a woman?? If she blows up and fades like some have, then it happens. I don't own her fund nor do I buy her picks. But I do think her forward thinking are inline with how you need to choose stocks nowadays. She got to manage billions for a reason. Whether or not she's still here 5 years from now, remains to be seen. But if she isn't, I don't think it will have to do with her forward thinking, rather perhaps her risk management.
I don't care if she's a woman, man, or android. Where the f does that even come from?!!!!!!!!!! I'm talking about her stock picks. Re 1999.... I assumed, perhaps erroneously, that you had seen a few things. It was a compliment. Sorry it went over your head. But this jumping to "because she's a woman?" thing.... that's flat out friggin ignorant. I could care less lol. EDIT.... "Dislike"? Again.... you are jumping on some weird ass tangent bro. As far as I've seen, she's a great person. Why would I dislike her. I'm just saying her stock picks of late lack much to be desired. Ya wanna talk long term? Fine. But she's not a guru bro.
Vanz was acknowledging your forum cred, because you have been with the forum since the beginning, pretty much.
Christ almighty, next he'll call me a racist. For what reason... I have no f'ing idea, but it would appear to be the next logical next step in whatever f'ing world this cat resides in.
Maybe, I didn't look carefully, but this kind of rationalization about some IT stock valuations reminds me of the dot com era. If we get a full blown correction say next year there isn't much to support these stocks. No dividend, no earnings, value based on what may happen down the road I guess usually don't hold up well if markets get weak say on money tightening. There are exceptions like Amazon of course.
This whole dialogue is foreign to me. I simply planned out my daytrades for this morning, booked profits and am done with docu. I'm a trader not an investor. The company could fold tomorrow for all I care. I'm a price action trader, could care less about the actual company.... not on a trader's radar. I have no idea what the company does. But hey if there's another tradable setup....
I'd be interested how you traded DOCU if you are willing to share. Did you get shaken out in the first few minutes?
No, bc I anticipated that dcb on open, per my premkt post here. I bought correctly and sold into breakout, I bot 138 sold 144
