Well, who doesn't ? Does anyone honestly believe people are willing to spend 14 years of education and postgraduate training with 80h weeks and complete lack of social life just to make an average income ? I personally think that working hours should be strictly limited, cost of education should be drastically reduced. Then one could discuss lower salaries. The way it is now, I would not want to be a physician in the US if salaries were lower.
rs5781 almost all health care costs occur at the end of one's life... no wonder doctors and hospitals are against the "right to die"... ................................................ Children...and old people..... In an odd way......the greedy side of the DR profession makes them respected scum of the earth.....
You can be glad that it's not the other way around. In some European countries, "assisted death" or whatever you want to call it is becoming increasingly popular. One could make an argument that old people become too expensive for society and one therefore uses every argument to get rid of the old folks.
yeah OK this is the same old, same old....you say your position is based on morality but it's really based on money...
If you want to be shot through the chimney when you're old and ill because it's cheaper for society, fine. THAT is based on money !
