  1. I agree...very interesting sugesstion.

    But definately:
Eliminate the post counting feature and "Most Active Members" list. - Or at least hide both.

yes, PLEASE get rid of the counter. if not, at least add a complementary counter showing the most-ignored people as well. and display it just as prominently.

  3. right! But this past weekend a moderator told us to 'not post'. I'm still waiting to hear from Baron about what Baron thinks about a moderator, not owner or advertiser but moderator, telling people not to post. Baron?

  4. So what you are saying (explicitly) is that advertisers equate post quantity to page views, and they believe that high post quantity makes their advertising more effective (regardless of post quality).

What you are also saying (implicitly) is that advertisers don't recognize the importance of overall board quality, or the quality of the active participants. That's an interesting assumption.

I think advertisers got over that at least a couple of years ago.

  6. actually they take both things into consideration, and both things are important. However, NO MODERATOR HAS A RIGHT TO TELL ANYONE NOT TO POST OR WHAT TO POST! That's the bottom line.
