Sure you can use 2Factor on any OS. It's more me saying that because I don't feel secure on Windows, so at least use 2Factor to secure the account. Sounds like you already use it
For developing/programming, I have a Macbook but some software like NinjaTrader runs only on Windows OS. This is where a VPS comes in. All of our customers are very happy with our servers because they can use any device (Mac, Tablets, etc.) they like for running Windows only applications, can even use their phones! It's like carrying around an entire Windows PC in your pocket. Nice to be able to run excel macros from phone too.
It doesn't matter - MAC or Windows. I have never heard that Windows interfered with trading, crashed or slowed down. The main thing here is whether your programs support Mac or Windows. And that's all.
Talking about hundreds of hours to setup Linux is just not reality in 2021. I don't have time for that and I honestly think KDE Neon is easier at this point to setup than Windows. I can do a reinstall and be all set up in 10 min with a SSD drive. I literally don't know anything about unix commands. Everything just works. I did try linux 20 years ago and spent a week trying to get sound. Those days are long gone though. If using a web based interface you owe it to yourself to try KDE. Turn off the interface automation and everything is so blazing fast and pretty. Try Dolphin for a week for file management. I can't even go back to windows just because of Dolphin. Not that I can think of any reason to go back to Windows. It is such a downgrade from KDE Plasma.
