Do you trade from a day-job that is unrelated to trading?

  1. Yes its true, I work in an IT department and they basically monitor every site you go to and the duration you stay on that site. At the end of the month a report is usually given to the department head. Yes its true they can block sites you aren't suppose to go to like gaming or pornography, but they usually don't block sites like yahoo finance, scottrade, interactive brokers, etc.

  2. What kind of draconian companies do you all work for? Yikes! Do you have to punch in with time clocks too?

  3. No, I only trade after work because I need to focus-I guess I'm still a newbie and need more confidence :)

It's impossible to monitor the time you actually look at the site. It doesn't make any sense.

I'm actually interested in doing something like this...can any of you guys provide specifics about the type of industries you work in/the position and responsibilities?

I would think that day trading would require the utmost focus and concentration.
