Education is not the answer .... do you want these people to become book smart, have good grades, and become a politician or some other job they are not qualified for :)

Smart people survive the education system just fine.

  5. Some of the responses in this thread sound as though the authors might have been among the interviewees.

Jay Leno did a man on the street interview where he asked someone what the DC in Wash. DC stood for and the answer he got was ........................DA CAPITAL:D :D

  7. What's going to ruin this country is the kind of edumacation the intellectual elite are in favor of.

The kind that takes it's marching orders from the likes of Krugman and Chomsky. They then take it to the classroom and ram it down the gullible throats of kids.

The "positive rights" they purvey will/are result in a mountain of debt so large that the only possible outcome for the US is default and chaos. Anybody that believes otherwise is not ...too....smart.

And, too keep it going, it's requisite to accuse racism of those who disagree.

A shining city on a hill turned to sh*t in just one long generation of flower children of the left.

  9. I don't know how Fox treated Bush. I didn't start watching until just before the '08, election. Beck claims he spoke against Bush's actions (as did I), and I have no reason to doubt his words.

As far as Fox becoming a "Repub apologist" once there is a Repub in the White House, we'll just have to see. I'm not taking your view as gospel.

  10. Obama has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
McCain has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
Palin has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
Biden has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
    (I'm being polite here.)
It isn't simply one political affiliation, all politicians have the tendency to stretch or spin the truth. And this is, in part, the source of the problem.

Fox has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
CNN has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
MSNBC has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
CNBC has been caught stretching or spinning the truth.
    (Again I'm being polite here.)

I believe the media feels that since the politicians lie on a consistent basis that they shouldn't be held to a higher standard. Few in the media (with the exception of Jon Stewart) will show the stupidity of any politician that screws up.
