Do you gun law people also believe we should ban cars?

It's an important reality to consider in the debate. There are probably close to .5-.7 guns per capita in the US. I have heard estimates of 200 million. However, just because there are so many guns out there should not de facto nullify efforts at reasonable gun control. If you tell me there are 15 million semi automatic assault rifles in private hands in the US (just a hypothetical) I can't accept that as a reason for not giving consideration to subjecting assault rifles to greater controls than they are at this time.

I am curious, do you carry in the regular course of the day, and if so why. Are you in a business commonly subjected to robbery?

Ok, but you're still not listening. There's no loophole at gun shows. The so-called "loophole" is just that private sellers can sell any gun to anyone without a check. Whether at a Gun Show or at Chuckie Cheese.

You're a very angry person, and you come off sounding like a pathetic loser. Maybe stop posting until you get a grip on that.

  6. Yes I know and that is the loophole and it should be fixed. In Texas you don't have to have a dealers license to sell a car but if you sell over a fixed amount of vechiles then you have to get a license. Something along those lines would be reasonable.

Because it makes politicians feel good about themselves.

Some laws are certainly needed, but as Tsing pointed out, they should be written by people who know something about the issue, and should never, ever be rushed through congress like they are now. We the people should have ample to time to study them before our reps vote on them, but we don't get that opportunity. Now it's this kind of bullshit: "We must pass the bill for you to know what's in it".

That translates to "we're going to fuck some of you, but it will be too late for you to do anything about it".

Usually the same ones who hit you with their car, too, and just happen to NOT have insurance. Give it time, though. Perhaps will have free national auto insurance, too.

Nah, that's just another incorrect assumption you've made. As for how I "sound" to you, it's funny - the majority here think (and verbalize) that about you every day. You just don't see how many of them do it because you have them all on ignore.

Does anyone on this forum actually get anything from your posts or not think you are a total kook?

I don't have a problem, as I said, with requiring people who sell guns to initiate a background check when they sell that gun. But you're still going to have hundreds of thousands of guns, if not more, out there not trackable. i've yet to hear a solution that will take care of that.
