Thank goodness Piezoe is not in charge of our justice system.
He seems to have the burdens of proof all wrong.

I am sure he believes it is much easier to have the mob lynch people based on fabrications and than see if they were actually guilty of anything.

  4. Okay. I gave trading priority over reading your post in detail . Can happen. Not a consideration for you.

Well then- in your post- you asked why Judge did not testify.

He sent his statement to the Committee confirming that he knew nothing and recalled nothing.

The Committee was in the process of agreeing/not agreeing to subpoena him but they were also working the angle of having Trump assign the investigations of various parties to the FBI or the FBI to the investigation, however you want to put it.

The outcome was that the investigations were moved to the FBI and the committee would work with the FBI.

Mark Judge was fully interviewed by the FBI and fully cooperated with the FBI.
So there is no basis whatsoever for suggesting or thinking that he weaseled around in his testimony at any point - just because he did not want to testify as part of that circus witch hunt. He knew that they committee just wanted to embarass him for being an alcoholic and having gone through rough times and he is a private person.

All three women who accused Kavanaugh were lying through their arse, with the possible exception of Ford who is too far gone in the head to know what may or may have not happened in the past. Unlike the other ones, she would be a hard one to prosecute for false accusations because she probably honestly believes that she was abducted by martians and assaulted by a martian who could have been kavanaugh.

Lying bitches- all three of them. I dont believe any of them.

Your dem buddy in VA though- he has accusers who probably are not wackjobs. We shall see.
They are both democrats so are not trying to reverse an election or get even for losing one as we saw in the kavanaugh case.

  6. Just amazing in regard to the low level of comments from pundits on the tube, including Larry Sabato from the University of Virginia, in regard to the allegations against the rape charges number two guy there in VA.

He just said that "there needs to be or could be an investigation by the FBI or the Virginia State Police" of the rape allegations.

Ahhh no. Neither the FBI nor the Virginia State Police have any jurisdiction whatsoever. The FBI is a federal agency that looks at federal crimes or maybe on assignment from a federal committee or something federally-related as in Kavanaugh, but their jurisdiction was limited to their assignment from the committee or president. They can not bring federal charges for what wouold be a state crime or go out and do front line investigations of state crimes.

Both of the alleged rapes occurred out of state. One at Duke and the other in Boston. So Virginia is going to start investigating rape charges in those states -North Carolina and Massachusetts? Ahhh, I dont think so. They can be properly dispatched to investigate whether records or prior investigative reports are on file but that is about it.

So then what? They are going to try to do a criminal investigation of events in those states via committee hearings in Virginia? Goofy as hell and fraught with legal issues. The cleanest way to approach that is to require the women to file complaints in those states and let them do or not do investigations based on the sufficiency of the complaints. It is fair for Virginia to require a filing of a complaint by someone who alleges rape before trying to sort anything out.

Which then brings up another issue which has been the subject of goofball reporting and goofball punditry. And that is the repeating of the fact that Virginia does not have a statue of limitations on rape so that he could possibly face charges. Yeh, BUT THE FUCKING ALLEGED CRIMES DID NOT OCCUR IN VIRGINIA so why does that matter? And that point also relates to the previous point, in that one or both of the other states might not even agree to investigate if they do have an applicable statute of limitations even if VA does not. Not to forget that alleged rapist has hired Kavanaugh's attorney and Kavanaugh probably did not pick an idiot for an attorney. So expect legal issues by the bucketload to be raised. Most of them legitimate too.

Not saying we know the answer to how some of this plays out, but jeeeesuzzz it would help if those getting the big bucks on the big screen tv would start saying things that are smart rather than stupid.

Oh yes there is. And it would be instructive for you the review the limitations the Trump administration put on the FBI follow-up. It was a Charade to which the Republicans gave tacit approval and the minority democrats were powerless to do anything about it. Now however, they are no longer powerless. Things should be even more interesting from here on out to 2020. Make sure you are sitting down, seat belt fastened, and try table in its locked and up-right position. Have a Barf bag handy.

  8. I am not going to replay the entire process so that you can crabwalk away from what the discussion was. It was about Mark Judge and his testimony. While the FBI did or did not interview everyone that the dems wanted (or the pubs either) it DID interview Mark Judge.
So Mark Judge submitted a written statement to the committee to the effect that he did not see or hear anything even though Ford said he was there. And her other witnesses pooped out too. Two of the witnesses that the FBI refused to interview were Swetnick and the other one who recanted her allegation. Non-starters. The FBI found nothing to work with. One changed her story. The other plead the fifth when the FBI got involved and wanted her statement. Liars and losers all of them.

But sure, dem candidates and the dead-enders such as you who support them are running campaigns that think that impeaching Kavanaugh is a great vote-getter. Go for it. They might even bill the Trump campaign because I am sure they would be willing to pay for dems to go down that road.

    Losers gotta be losers.

So is she a lying biatch or telling the truth?

The local consensus seems to be she is not telling the truth. Time will tell...

2nd Fairfax accuser says she was raped by former Duke basketball player Corey Maggette
    https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/12/politics/fairfax-accuser-duke-basketball-player/index.html

Meredith Watson, who has accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of rape, says she also was raped by former Duke University basketball player Corey Maggette, according to her attorney.

The New York Times first reported Maggette was the Duke basketball player who Watson's attorney accuses of raping Watson during her sophomore year at Duke.

Maggette, who went on to play 14 seasons in the NBA and is now a freelance basketball analyst on Fox Sports West, denied the allegation in a statement to the Times.

"It has only been through media accounts and a statement from Meredith Watson's lawyer that I first learned or heard of anything about the sexual assault allegation," Maggette said, according to the Times. "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my life and I completely and categorically deny any such charge."

CNN has been unable to reach Maggette independently for comment.

When contacted by CNN, Fox Sports West said it takes allegations of misconduct seriously.

"We are looking into the matter. We have no further comment at this time," the network said.

Watson's attorney, Nancy Erika Smith, said in a statement on Friday that after Watson was raped she went to an unnamed dean "who provided no help and discouraged her from pursuing the claim further." Watson also told Fairfax, Smith said.

Michael Schoenfeld, vice president for public affairs and government relations for Duke, said in a statement, "We are in the process of gathering information to determine what policies and procedures were in place during the time period in which these events are alleged to have occurred, and whether they were activated and followed. We are not able to provide further information or comment on any individual at this time."

Smith says Fairfax used his knowledge of that assault allegation to take advantage of Watson.

Watson has alleged that Fairfax assaulted her when they both attended Duke in 2000 and were friends but not romantically involved, according to a statement from her legal counsel, the firm Smith Mullin.

When Watson asked Fairfax why he did it, Smith says he responded: "I knew that because of what happened to you last year, you'd be too afraid to say anything."

"Mr. Fairfax actually used the prior rape of his 'friend' against her when he chose to rape her in a premeditated way," Smith said.
