JohnM basically, I'm disappointed. Over the last week or so you've posted in a style that suggests that you had too much to drink. Based on the mangled french translations, the pseudo intellectual commentary and the boasting about sexual conquests, I am guessing that your real life is pretty shitty. Personally I would rather hear that you're having a bad time straight up. Then at least one could commiserate and be there to listen. Today you announce that you don't post anything "serious" here on ET. Really too bad. I would like to find something good or at least interesting in the people I correspond with. There has got to be something to give and take between us (all of us). The way you're going, there isn't much to work with. Why the fuck am I reading this guys posts? You seem to be a person with potential. Maybe you will consider getting back in there with the rest of us (warts and all). Good luck Lefty
These ET threads that get hi-"Jacked" always remind me of the 1978 Jim Jones Jonestown incident. Mind control is a strange thing. There's always a certain segment of the population that will believe ANYTHING.
Merchant is just crying out for help, it terrify him that he, the self appoint chosen one, who has the most completed Jack teaching will not 'get' it before some un-worthy newbie will. This frustration manifesting itself in the manner he publicity denounce the master. Note: I gain this insight when watching The Episode III
The problem most people have with Jack is that they try to swallow him whole. They want the whole package now. They want to make 2 times the daily range starting out. He has stated repeatedly that you start with rockets. You trade only in a strongly trending market. You have to get that part straight first. Has anybody got that far? Its not too hard. You cant take every trade when the Stoch hits 80 or 20 but if you watch for awhile you will know which ones to take. This is where I am at now. Some days you do nothing. Some days you make money. I am still trying to get to the next level but theres a lot of people here smarter than me yet I only see a couple who have got past this first stage.
Perspicuity isn't one of Jack's nor Merchant's strong points yet both are worth reading. I rather enjoy both of their viewpoints on the market and take something away about 1% of the time. D.
want to see a trend line? look at the daily chart of the eur/usd since jan 2002. see when it breaks? short. i don't think i can find a more clearly defined trendline. also, when a trendline such as this breaks, i can't find a better example of going in the direction of the break!
Jason. An elegant piece of cunning linguistic analysis! I cannot bring myself to even try it anymore. As in the Nwbprop thread, the dialogue between mentor and mentee eventually (and now we see, inevitably) deteriorated into a sado-masochistic relationship. Not that I have anything against that. But at least I keep mine private. Mike.
Lefty - I write for a VERY small coterie of intellectual perverts here, numbering less than ten. I am pleased to hear that you are not among them. If you want to think about someone who has a pitiable life, think of dear Jack. I am making a shitload of money, getting well laid every night, and dying in grand alcoholic style. I will go out with a bang, versus Jack's whimper. Oh, and when I trade, I make money. I am just so much better at what I do professionally than I am at trading that I don't make as much. - Mike
Duard. 1%? I wan't aware that there was even that much there. Be advised that there are two differences between me and Jack. One, I trade. Two, I can explain to you exactly how I do it in totally unequivocal language, algorithmically precise. Mike.
